Client brief

We were tasked with transforming a dark, underutilized space off the kitchen into the client’s dream walk-in pantry and mudroom. The design focuses on restoring its heritage charm, enhancing lighting, and crafting bespoke cabinetry to create a functional yet timeless space

The Design

Drawing inspiration from the beauty of nature, this project transformed a heritage 1600s property into a functional yet elegant walk-in pantry and mudroom. The original lime plaster walls were carefully restored. A palette of warm, earthy hues—rooted in natural stone and the rich texture of wood—harmonises with the surrounding environment. Bespoke cabinetry was designed to maximize space. Authentic steel Crittall doors and sleek metal lighting with fluted glass add bold architectural definition, striking a balance between organic warmth and contemporary strength. The result is a space transcending traditional boundaries, seamlessly blending heritage craftsmanship with modern design.
