Designing with purpose

Challenging the misconception that style cannot be sustainable! Earth Interiors is committed to making a difference through thoughtful sustainable design, focusing on well-being in the home while being kinder to the planet.

Built on the foundations of honesty, trust, and integrity, I work in partnership with a fantastic network of tradespeople, suppliers, and retailers who share my values.

Sustainability, health, and wellbeing

Inspired by Biophilic design (meaning love of nature), I seek to connect people and their homes to nature, creating calm, restorative spaces. This can be achieved directly by utilizing natural light, plants, and fresh air or indirectly by evoking a sense of nature through materials, color, texture, shape, and pattern.

Design

Starting with design conceptualisation, I can make a significant impact throughout the process. Creating timeless designs made from high-quality, durable materials that will last for years to come. Where possible, I aim to minimize waste, specify green materials, and avoid harmful pollutants. Following Biophilic Design principles to support a healthier and greener space.

Materials and Sourcing

I work with a trusted network of suppliers who demonstrate a commitment to more sustainable working. Where possible, I source locally and aim to use natural or recycled materials. Natural materials often have low VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions, reducing indoor air pollution and improving indoor air quality.

Reuse and Restore

Breathing new life into cherished furniture through restoration and reupholstering is a creative and sustainable way to refresh your home. High-quality materials age beautifully with time; reimagining pieces not only prevents waste but is also an aesthetically pleasing and innovative way to update your home.
